1. How is player eligibility determined for participation in the tournament?
Players are deemed eligible for participation based on their residency in the countries specified in the rules section. As outlined in the rules, a team must have at least 3 out of its 5 players residing in these designated countries to qualify.
2. What is the deadline for teams to finalize and submit their roster after qualifying from the LCQ (Last Chance Qualifier)?
Teams must provide their final roster no later than one week after qualifying from the LCQ.
3. How will travel arrangements for the LAN Finals be handled?
Round-trip flights for up to 6 team members to Malta, capped at €1,350 per team against an invoice to GMR, payable 10 days post-finals. Additional costs beyond this limit will be the team’s responsibility. Unused flight budget can be retained by the team. Arrival in Malta on March 13th, as early as possible for Media Day and SSD Installation
4. What visa and travel documentation are required for the LAN Finals in Malta?
It is the sole responsibility of the qualifying teams and players to obtain all necessary visa and travel documentation required for entry into Malta. Ensure you have all the necessary paperwork in order before qualifying for the event.
5. What amenities will be provided for teams during the LAN Finals in Malta?
5.1 Accommodation:
3 double-occupancy rooms at the AX ODYCY will be provided in Qawra for 4 nights (Thursday to Sunday). Bed and breakfast will be included. Any Extras taken from hotel rooms (Such as minibar items, laundry service etc) will not be covered by the GMR. Teams will have to incur this cost themselves.
5.2 Catering:
A Per Diem will be provided for catering; €125 per team per day, up to a maximum of €500. This can be used at any food outlet, including delivery services such as Bolt and Uber eats Please consult your Team LO for details upon arrival in Malta
5.3 Airport Transfers:
GMR will be providing transfers to and from the airport. If these transfers are missed then it may be the team’s responsibility to find their own way to the airport or hotel.
6. Can teams make changes to their roster after qualifying for the LAN Finals?
Yes, qualifying teams have the flexibility to change players between tournament stages. However, it’s mandatory for teams to retain at least 3 out of the 5 players from their original active roster that secured the qualification.
7. Is there an age requirement for players participating in the tournament?
Yes, all players participating in the tournament must be over 18 years of age to be eligible.
